Hi, we are Silvio and Alessandra. We live and work in our farmhouse in Gubbio, a beautiful farmhouse in the hills surrounded by olive groves, pine forests and oak woods. From here you can enjoy an enchanting view over the Upper Tiber Valley.
Before dealing with hospitality, we gained different experiences: Silvio was an architect and has worked for more than 30 years in the photographic field; he is passionate about classic music, art and vintage cars. Alessandra was a bank employee; she loves reading, taking long walks in the mountains and for years she has dedicated herself to volunteering.
At a certain point in our life together, the love for nature pushed us to find a new path, outside our professional paths.
So, in June 2011 we took the big step and together with our children Marta and Giacomo (then children) we left Northern Italy to move to Umbria.
Our idea of holidays in nature
We love to explore, to know. Being travellers has helped us to understand that the well-being of our guests is the most important thing. We like people to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive, as if they were in an old friend’s house. What if they don’t speak Italian? No problem! Our welcome can be warm even in English.
Hospitality is also made up of small gestures. Inside our three apartments, those who arrive will always find a hearty welcome breakfast and a brochure in Italian and English. All information and advice to make your stay in Umbria more enjoyable are written there.
Who usually comes? Couples, families, small groups of friends and anyone who wants to spend a relaxing holiday in nature.
It has been several years since we embarked on this adventure and we are very satisfied with the path we have made so far. The enthusiasm we had when we first arrived in this magical place is still intact, or better still: over time it has grown and strengthened, thanks to the encounter with many special people.
